Getting Started: Your home study is the most important part of starting your adoption process! Therefore, you want to choose a licensed professional to care for this heartfelt excursion. Adoption laws in all states require prospective adoptive parents to successfully complete a home study. When you select Adopt for Love, you will be in contact with a trained social worker that will help you feel at ease, as if you were talking to an old friend and updating them on the events of your life. We will facilitate an interview with you, gather some significant documents and begin the process of helping you adopt a child! A typical home study is expected to be finished in two-three months if you have all your documents. However, you are welcome to contact your social worker, anytime during your adoption process and even after your home study is complete. In addition, we offer post-placement visits and will provide a 30-day and 90-day report, if needed.
